ORDER

The petitioners, who are ex-service men and now, working as Village Administrative Officers, have filed this writ petition seeking some preference while transfer by taking into consideration of this service as ex-service men and by considering their representation dated 10.01.2025.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are ex-servicemen, who have served for 20 years. After retirement, they have cleared Group IV examination and appointed as Village Administrative Officers. They have submitted a representation to the respondents to give priority for petitioners who are ex-servicemen in the transfer counselling to be scheduled among the Village Administrative Officers, as granted in respect of the Spouse Category, taking into consideration of the services of the ex-servicemen, but the same has not been considered so far. Therefore, the petitioners have filed the present writ petition.

3.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that there is no statutory guidelines that priority can be given for the ex-service men while transfer. 4.In the absence of any statutory guidelines that priority on transfer can be given to the ex-service men, Mandamus sought for 3/5

by the petitioners cannot be granted. Therefore, this writ petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioners to workout their remedy, if there is any statutory guidelines. No costs.
