This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to give adequate police protection to life and limb of the petitioner and his family members, based on the petitioner's representation, dated 04.05.2024.
2. The grievance of the petitioner is that the respondents 4 to 6 are threatening him with dire consequences on a civil dispute. In the event if any offence has been committed, the petitioner is at liberty to lodge a complaint before the concerned police station. The petitioner claims that he has also lodged a complaint on 27.04.2024 and 04.05.2024 and the respondent police have not taken any steps.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submits that the petitioner has sent all those complaints through post and has not approached the respondent police. Hence, the respondent police have not acted upon.

In the event if the respondent police have not acted upon on the complaint of the petitioner, it is always open to the petitioner to approach the Superintendent of Police under Section 154 (3) of Cr.P.C. Even after the complaint to the Superintendent of Police under Section 154 (3) of Cr.P.C, if the respondent police are not acting in accordance with law, it is open to the petitioner to approach the concerned Judicial Magistrate under Section 156 (3) of Cr.P.C.
5. With the above said liberty, this Criminal Original Petition is closed. No costs.
