ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed for Mandamus directing the respondents to take necessary action and to effect name change in the Electricity Service Connection No.91 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 01.11.2022 in respect of the Bore Well connection situated in the land in Survey No.97/7, Ammuthanpatti Village, Usilampatti Taluk, Madurai District.

2. The respondents on instructions submitted that the petitioner instead of submitting representation or application through online portal, has filed this Writ Petition directly. But the contention of the petitioner is that such communication was never ever intimated to the petitioner. Moreover, the petitioner is not aware of online submission of application.

3. Therefore, this Court is directing the petitioner to submit an application through online portal within a period of one (1) week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the respondents are directed to consider for name change in the Electricity Service Connection No.91 from the original consumer name to the petitioner's name in respect of the Bore Well connection 2/4

situated in the land in Survey No.97/7, Ammuthanpatti Village, Usilampatti Taluk, Madurai District within a period of four (4) weeks therefrom.

4. In view of the above, this Writ Petition is allowed. There shall be no order as to costs.
