Heard Mr.D.S.Haroon Rashee, learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.S.Jeyapriya, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent.
2.Learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has made an application for effecting sub-division and issuance of separate patta. According to the learned Counsel for the petitioner, joint patta stands in the name of the petitioner's vendor and three others and the petitioner has purchased 8 cents out of 41 cents, within four definite boundaries, under registered sale deed and hence, the petitioner is entitled to seek sub-division of patta. 3.Considering the fact that the petitioner has made necessary online application on 16.11.2023 and again on 04.09.2023, the respondents are directed to consider the petitioner's applications on merits and in accordance with law, after affording opportunity to the petitioner as well as other interested parties and taking into 2/5
account the schedule under which the subject property has been purchased by the petitioner with four definite boundaries. The respondents shall pass orders effecting such sub-division and also issue patta in the name of the petitioner. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of twelve [12] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4.Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
