PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 3rd respondent to issue Non Traceable Certificate for the missing document Registered Sale Deed, dated 27.05.1988 registered as Document No. 1301/1988 in the office of the Sub Registrar, Srirangam in pursuance to the petitioner's representation, dated 20.04.2024 and investigate the matter in accordance with law.

O R D E R

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 3rd respondent to issue Non Traceable Certificate for the missing document Registered Sale Deed, dated 27.05.1988 registered as Document No.1301/1988 in the office of the Sub Registrar, Srirangam considering his representation, dated 20.04.2024.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that he has lost his sale deed and has lodged a complaint. Since the same has not been acted upon by the respondent police, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

3. The respondent police are directed to conduct an enquiry in a proper manner and find out the genuineness of the complaint and thereafter, take a call by issuing certificate as per the circular issued by the Director General of Police, Chennai in Rc.No.2029209/General. 1(1)/2022, dated 01.04.2022.

4. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
