The petitioner challenges the order of the 1st respondent, dated 29.10.2021 confirming the order of the Tahsildar, Peravurani Taluk, Thanjavur District.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the official respondents.

3. I find from the impugned order that the petitioner has statutory appeal before the Additional District Collector (Revenue) and the said appeal ought to have been filed within a period of thirty (30) days from 29.10.2021.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submit that the said appeal has already been filed. However, I do not find any reference to the said appeal 2/5

either in the affidavit or in the typedset of papers.

5. In the light of the above, this writ petition is disposed of, giving liberty to the petitioner to approach the appellate authority, namely the Additional District Collector (Revenue) within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order, if the appeal has already not been filed. On such appeal being preferred, the Additional District Collector (Revenue) shall entertain the appeal, without rejecting it on the ground of delay and shall dispose of the same, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice to the petitioner and all the parties interested and pass final orders, within a period of four (4) months thereafter.

6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed. 30.04.2025 NCC:yes/no Index:yes/no Internet:yes/no gbg 3/5
