ORDER

The petitioner is before this Court seeking for a direction to the respondent to issue fresh passport to the petitioner pursuant to the application dated 30.01.2026.

2. The petitioner's application had not been processed citing that in the marital status column, the petitioner has stated that the petitioner is a divorcee and therefore, he submitted a representation dated 06.04.2026 stating that his marriage is governed under Muslim Law and his marriage has been resolved through an agreement deed of Dissolution(Mufarath). Whether Mufarath was recognized divorce or not is not the matter to be considered by the respondent.

3. Therefore, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the first respondent to consider the representation dated 06.04.2026 submitted by the petitioner on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of six(6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
