Heard the learned counsel on either side. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner seeks issuance of death certificate in respect of her husband. She has given a representation in this regard.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents states that it is the Revenue Divisional Officer, who is the competent authority to issue death certificate. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD)No.13342 of 2020 4.The petitioner is therefore, directed to make fresh representation to the concerned authority. The competent authority / Revenue Divisional Officer, Madurai, is directed to dispose it of on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks thereafter.
