: Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to permit the petitioner to conduct ''Adal Padal'' cultural program in Sri Karu Mariamman, Sri Ganapathi, Sri Murugan, Sri Maduraiveeran, Sri Pommiamman, Sri Vellaiamman Temple, Marungippatti Village, Thiruppathur Taluk, Sivagangai District on 11.06.2017 from 8.00 P.M onwards and to provide adequate police protection.

[Order of the Court was made by T.S.SIVAGNANAM, J.] The petitioner seeks for issuance of a direction to the respondents to grant permission to conduct cultural programme on 11.06.2017 from 8.00 P.M onwards, in connection with a temple festival and to the said effect, he has submitted a representation to the respondent on 07.06.2017. Since the representation has not been considered, the petitioner is before this Court.

2. Considering the fact that the representation is still pending with the respondent, this Court is not inclined to give any positive direction in this Writ Petition, but, directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 07.06.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two days from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

3. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
