: Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant necessary permission and provide Police protection for conducting Adal Padal Programme scheduled to be held on 01.07.2017 at 9 P.M. to 12.00 P.M. at Priyamaruthupatti, Sivagangai District as part of Temple Car Festival of Sevugamoorthy Ayyanar temple on the basis of representation dated 06.06.2017.

*********** [Order of the Court was made by T.S.SIVAGNANAM, J.] The petitioner seeks for issuance of a direction to the respondents to grant permission to conduct cultural programme on 01.07.2017 at 9 P.M. to 12.00 P.M at night in connection with a temple festival and to the said effect, he has submitted a representation to the second respondent on 06.06.2017. Since the representation has not been considered, the petitioner is before this Court.

2. Considering the fact that the representation is still pending with the second respondent, this Court is not inclined to give any positive direction in this Writ Petition, but, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 06.06.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two days from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

3. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
