Heard Mr.H.Mahamed Hussain, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Mr.C.Satheesh, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

2. The petitioners seek issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the second respondent to dispose of the pending proceedings in Na.Ka.A5/741/2017, within a time frame fixed by this Court.

3. The grievance of the petitioners is that their appeal is pending before the second respondent right from February 2017 onwards. The petitioners have only sought for implementation of the orders of the Revenue Divisional Officer, Ramanathapuram and issue separate patta and to cancel the separate patta issued to one Kannu.

4. Considering the limited relief sought for in the writ petition, the writ petition is disposed of directing the second respondent to dispose of the appeal petition of the petitioner dated 03.02.2017, after giving a fair opportunity to the petitioners as well as the respondents in the said appeal petition. The said exercise shall be carried out, on merits and in 2/4

accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
