Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the respondents 1 to 3 from granting permission in favour of the respondents 6 and 7 to conduct cultural programme that is Aadal Padal programme on 13.05.2023 between 6 pm and 11 pm on the evening of Pookuli festival of Arulmigu Sri Maha Sathayayyanar Temple at Sathanur Village under Ilyangudi Taluk in Sivagangai District.

2.The subject matter concerns conducting of cultural programmes on 13.05.2023 in connection with the petition mentioned temple festival. It has finally been agreed that "Adal Padal programme" will be conducted by the sixth respondent from 06.00 p.m to 08.00 p.m. 2/5

At the stroke of 08.00 p.m., the programme shall be wound up by the sixth respondent. Thereafter, the traditional folk programme shall be conducted by the petitioner. That can be followed by "Valli Thirumanam Drama".
