The writ petition has been filed for a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to register an F.I.R. on the basis of the enquiry report of the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Prohibition Enforcement Wing, Madurai City, dated 03.05.2017.

2. Heard Ms.A.Banumathy, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.T.S.Mohammed Mohideen, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. Today, Mr.C.Panaraj, Sub-Inspector of Police, D1 Crime Police Station, Madurai City is present and on instructions, the learned Additional Government Pleader would submit that on the complaint given by the petitioner, a regular F.I.R. has been registered in Crime No.1020 of 2017 for the offences under Sections 406 and 420 of I.P.C.
