The petitioners, based on assignment orders granted to them, have sought for issuance of patta in their favour.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents.
3. The petitioners are relying on assignment orders issued in their respective favour. Based on the same, they have sought for issuance of house site patta.
4. The learned Additional Government Pleader on instructions submits that in the said locality as many as 280 pattas have been cancelled and therefore, the petitioners' request will have to be individually considered and decided on merits.
5. In view of the above, this writ petition is disposed of, directing the 3rd respondent to call the petitioners individually for enquiry and after scrutinizing the documents submitted by the respective petitioners and ensuring that their pattas have not been already cancelled and to pass suitable further orders, within a period of sixteen (16) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
