Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to promote the petitioner as Radiographer from the date on which his juniors have been promoted, getting the relaxation from the Government as per G.O.(D)No.1310, Health and Family Welfare Department, dated 19.10.2016 by considering the proposal made by the petitioner through Block Medical Officer, Puthanatham, Trichy District dated 31.03.2016 within the time frame as fixed by this Court.

The petitioner seeks for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to promote the petitioner as Radiographer from the date on which his juniors have been promoted getting the relaxation from the Government as per G.O.(D)No.1310, Health and Family Welfare Department, dated 19.10.2016 by considering the proposal made by the petitioner through Block Medical Officer, Puthanatham, Trichy District dated 31.03.2016 within the time frame.

2.The learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if the proposal of the petitioner through Block Medical Officer is disposed of, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 4.In view of the limited scope of the prayer, without going into the merits of the matter, respondents are directed to consider the proposal of the petitioner through Block Medical Officer dated 31.03.2016 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5.With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
