This Writ petition has been filed by the petitioner for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 17.10.2016 and 24.05.2017 for re-fixing his scale of pay from Rs.13003000+300GP to Rs.4800-10000+300 GP.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.
3. Mr.N.S.Karthikeyan, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondent. By consent, the Writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

4. Though the Writ petition is for issuing a positive direction, the learned counsel for the petitioner submit that the petitioner will be satisfied if a direction is issued to the respondents to consider the representations of the petitioner, dated 17.10.2016 and 24.05.2017 and pass order within the time stipulated by this Court.
5. Having regard to the limited scope of the prayer that is now sought before this Court by the learned counsel for the Writ petitioner, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court is inclined to issue the following direction:- "The respondent is directed to consider the representations of the petitioner, dated 17.10.2016 and 24.05.2017, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
