: Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to permit the petitioner to conduct the cultural function viz., Aadal Padal during the temple festival of ''Arulmighu Muthukaruppayya Temple'', Puthuvayal Kallakottai Post, Kantharavakottai Taluk, Pudukkottai District on 10.06.2017 between 7.00 P.M to 12.00 P.M and further direct the respondent to give adequate police protection for the above said programme. *********** [Order of the Court was made by T.S.SIVAGNANAM, J.] The petitioner seeks for issuance of a direction to the respondents to grant permission to conduct cultural programme on 10.06.2017 between 7.00 P.M to 12.00 P.M in connection with a temple festival and to the said effect, he has submitted a representation to the respondent on 05.06.2017. Since, the representation has not been considered, the petitioner is before this Court.

2. Considering the fact that the representation is still pending with the respondent, this Court is not inclined to give any positive direction in this Writ Petition, but, directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 05.06.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two days from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

3. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
