PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to take necessary action to allow all the Villagers including the petitioner to participate in Arulmigu Thiruvanayagi Amman Temple and Sree Agasa Karuppar Temple festival at Soorakudiyanpatti, which scheduled to be held on 23.05.2023 and 24.05.2023, by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 28.04.2023, within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court.

ORDER
[Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble The ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE] This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to take necessary action to allow all the Villagers, including the petitioner to participate in Arulmigu Thiruvanayagi Amman Temple and Sree Agasa Karuppar Temple festival at Soorakudiyanpatti, which is scheduled to be held on 23.05.2023 and 24.05.2023, by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 28.04.2023.
2.Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 6 submitted that a Peace Committee meeting will be conducted by the fifth respondent Tahsildar on 20.05.2023, in which, all the parties concerned can take part 2/5
and make their submissions. On the basis of the resolution to be passed in the Peace Committee meeting, the Temple festival will be held on 23.05.2023 and 24.05.2023.
3.At this juncture, learned counsel appearing for the respondents 7 and 8 submitted that if the petitioner comes forward with an undertaking that he would not create any nuisance or problem while conducting the Temple festival on 23.05.2023 and 24.05.2023, there is no need for conducting the Peace Committee meeting on 20.05.2023. 4.Recording the aforesaid submissions, this Writ Petition is disposed of on the following directions:- (i) The fifth respondent Tahsildar is directed to conduct Peace Committee meeting on 20.05.2023.
(ii) The petitioner, respondents 7 and 8 and all other parties concerned are directed to appear in the Peace Committee meeting scheduled to be held on 20.05.2023 and they will abide by the resolution to be passed by the fifth respondent Tahsildar in the Peace Committee meeting. (iii) It is made clear that if any problem is created by anyone of the parties even in the Peace Committee meeting, the Temple festival will not be held in future also.
No costs.
