ORDER

The petitioner with a grievance that the respondents 6 to 8 prevented him from cultivating his land, intimidating him and also made a life threat to the petitioner, has approached this Court seeking police protection.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though the petitioner has also lodged a complaint before the respondent police on 02.05.2024, they have not taken any action and therefore, seeking police protection, the petitioner has filed this application. 3.This Court considered the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner and also perused the materials placed. 4.If the petitioner is having any grievance that the respondent 6 to 8 are preventing him from cultivating the land, the petitioner shall workout his remedy before the civil Court. If any attempt has been made as against the petitioner, the petitioner is at liberty to lodge a police complaint. In the event, if any police complaint is lodged, it is the duty of 2/4

the respondent police to ascertain whether any cognizable offence is made in the complaint and to register the case. In the event, a case has not been registered, this petitioner is also having a remedy before the Superintendent of Police under Sections 154(3) and 156(3) of Cr.P.C. 4.Since the petitioner has other remedies available, this Court is not inclined to pass any orders. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed with liberty to invoke the other remedy available to the petitioner.
