Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to consider petitioner's representation, dated 27.12.2024, and conduct an enquiry within the time frame fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

ORDER

The petitioner indirectly seeks for implementation of Minutes of the Peace Committee Meeting, dated 17.05.2022, in Na.Ka.No.100/2022/A7.

2. The Peace Committee Meeting, by the very nature of things, is not statutory in nature. At best, it is a mediation, with indulgence of the revenue department, to resolve the issues, which might affect law and order. When the Peace Committee Meeting has no statutory backing, there is no question of giving a direction for implementation of the same.

3. Leaving it open to the petitioner to work out his rights in the manner known to law, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. 29.04.2025 NCC :
