ORDER

The Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to conduct an enquiry and dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 06.08.2025, submitted in person, seeking cancellation of Patta No.3000 issued in respect of Survey No.198/5E situated at Chokkalingapuram Village, Melur Taluk, Madurai District, within the time stipulated by this Court. 2.By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.Mr.K.Saravanan, learned counsel for State, accepts notice for respondents 1 and 2. Considering the limited relief sought for by the petitioner, notice to the third respondent is dispensed with. 2/5

4.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for State appearing for the respondents 1 and 2. 5.Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the first respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 06.08.2025, after affording sufficient opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, the third respondent and the rival claimants, if any, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
