ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner/A2, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offence punishable under Sections 420 of IPC and Section 7(3) of Lotteries Regulation Act, 1998 in Crime No.379 of 2024, seeks anticipatory bail. 1/3
2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused persons were found in possession of banned lotteries, which were printed in the State of Assam.
3.Considering the facts and circumstances of this case, this Court is inclined to grant interim anticipatory bail to the petitioner enabling him to appear before the respondent police for interrogation. The respondent police shall conduct an enquiry and file a report as to the role played by the petitioner. The respondent police shall not harass the petitioner during the enquiry. The petitioner is directed to appear before the respondent police daily at 10.30 a.m., from 12.06.2024 onwards. 4.List on 24.06.2024.
