: Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records pertaining to the list of accepted nominations for the Board of Management of 0.1997 Melapalayam Urban Co-operative Credit Society Ltd., Melapalayam, Tirunelveli District, dated 13.08.2018 and quash the same and further, to forbear the respondents from conducting elections pertaining to 0.1997 Melapalayam Urban Co-operative Credit Society Ltd., Melapalayam, Tirunelveli District until the issue of non acceptance of valid nomination and other discrepancies in the eligible voters list are rectified.

*********** [Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.] When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the election has been cancelled and for deciding the stage at which it should be proceeded thereafter and as to whether a fresh election will have to be conducted or not, appropriate direction would be obtained from the Election Commission.
2. In view of the above said submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader, nothing survives for adjudication in this Writ Petition. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
