Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider petitioner's representation dated 09.06.2017 and to grant permission on the basis of petitioner's representation to conduct Annathanam on 16.06.2017 and cultural programme "Adal Padal" on 17.06.2017 to celebrate the festival of Arulmighu Sri Selvamuthu Mariamman Temple situated at Chettiyanthal, Thiruppakottai Post, Devakottai Taluk, Sivagangai District.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondent to give necessary permission for conducting the programmes mentioned therein, by way of issuing a Writ of Mandamus. 2.Mr.K.Guru, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondent.

3.It is seen from the records that on 09.06.2017 a representation has been given, but the same has not been considered. Under the said circumstances, this Court is inclined to pass the following order.

4.In fine, this Writ Petition is allowed in part without costs and the respondent is directed to look into the representation dated 09.06.2017 and dispose of the same within a period of two days.
