*********** [Order of the Court was made by K.K.SASIDHARAN, J.] The petitioner filed this Writ Petition to direct the first respondent to merge the Panchayat Union School, Paganeri with another Panchayat Union School, Paganeri, Sivagangai District, by considering his representation dated 18 April,2017.

2. The representation submitted by the petitioner dated 18 April, 2017, indicates that his grandfather donated the land to the Panchayat Union School at Paganeri.

3. It is not within the province of this Court to direct the first respondent to merge the Panchayat Union School, Paganeri with another Panchayat Union School. It is essentially a matter to be decided by the Educational Authorities. We are, therefore, of the view that no Mandamus could be issued to direct the first respondent for merger of the Educational Institutions.

4. In the upshot, we dismiss the Writ Petition. No costs. Sd/- Assistant Registrar(CO) / True Copy / Sub Assistant Registrar(C.S.) To 1.The District Collector, Sivagangai District.
