Heard Mr.T.Aswin Raja Simman, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.R.Shanmuganathan, learned counsel appearing for the respondents.

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to re-evaluate her OMR Sheet on the basis of the final answer key by considering her representation dated 21.05.2024 and revise the list of candidates called for certificate verification in respect of Direct Recruitment of Graduate Teachers/Block Resource Teacher Educators (BRTE) 2023 - English, within the time period stipulated by this Court.

3. Since the petitioner's request to re-evaluate her OMR answer sheet is not considered, she has come up with this petition.

4. Mr.V.R.Shanmuganathan, learned counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner's request cannot be considered since all the candidates who appeared for the examination would also request the same and it is not possible to re-evaluate everyone's OMR sheet.

5. The respondents cannot presume things and say that each candidate who appeared for the examination would file an application and insist for re-evaluation of OMR answer sheet. Even that cannot be a reason for not considering the request of the petitioner. The respondents are expected to re-evaluate the OMR sheet as requested by the petitioner or pass orders otherwise, but simply cannot keep the application pending on their file.

In view of the above observations, the writ petition is disposed of and the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 21.05.2024 and pass orders either to re-evaluate the petitioner's OMR answer sheet or otherwise within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
