This Writ petition has been filed by the petitioner for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent i.e., the Industries Commissioner and Director of Industries and Commerce, Chennai to pass appropriate orders on the appeal preferred by the petitioner on 27.01.2017 against the orders, dated 30.12.2016 in R.C.No.56/EB1/2013, by the Additional Chief Secretary/Chairman cum Managing Director, TANSI, Chennai within a specified time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

2. Heard, Mr.S.Visvalingam, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.J.Gunaseelan Muthaiah, learned Government Advocate
appearing for the respondents.

Mr.J.Gunaseelan Muthaiah, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the Writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

Having regard to the limited scope of the prayer in the Writ petition, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's case, this Court is inclined to issue the following direction:- "The first respondent is directed to consider and pass appropriate orders on the appeal preferred by the petitioner, dated 27.01.2017, against the order dated 30.12.2016, passed by the Additional Chief Secretary/Chairman cum Managing Director, TANSI, Chennai, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
