The prayer sought for in this writ petition is to direct the respondents to give water tap connection to the house of the petitioner bearing Door No.20-48/18 at Kadukaraivilaku, Alagiyapandiyapuram Post, Kanyakumari District, based on his representations, dated 29.08.2015 and 28.11.2016. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on records. 3.Mr.D.Muruganandham, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner's house is situated nearby highways and a similar request has come from the other neighbours and it is under active consideration by the respondents.

4.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this writ petition and also considering the submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, this writ petition is https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

disposed of with a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the representations of the petitioner, dated 29.08.2015 and 28.11.2016 and pass appropriate orders, purely on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of the order copy. No costs.
