O R D E R

This Writ petition has been filed by the petitioner for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission for change of address of the petitioner's Driving School in pursuant to his application, dated 27.03.2017, submitted by the petitioner for change of address of his Driving School within the period that may be stipulated by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

3. Mr.N.S.Karthikeyan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent. By consent, the Writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

4. Though the Writ petition is for issuing a Writ of Mandamus to give positive direction to the respondent to grant permission

for change of address of the petitioner's Driving school as per his application, dated 27.03.2017, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner will be satisfied if a direction is issued to the respondent to consider the application, dated 27.03.2017, submitted by the petitioner, on merits within the time stipulated by this Court.

Having regard to the limited scope of the prayer that is now sought before this Court by the learned counsel for the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's case, this Court is inclined to issue the following direction:- "The respondent is directed to consider the application of the petitioner, dated 27.03.2017, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
