PRAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to consider and pass order in petitioner's appeal in O.Mu.Aa2/6584/2022 dated on 24.06.2022 against the patta proceeding order in Na.Ka.No. Aa2/4288/2020 dated on 16.02.2022, issued by the Thasildar, Kayathar Taluk, Thoothukudi District, regarding with the survey No. 303/1 extent of 0.43.0 hectares situated in Kayathar, Thoothukudi District, within reasonable time.

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. The only request made by the petitioners is that the petition mentioned appeal to be disposed of.

3. The second respondent is directed to dispose of the petition mentioned appeal on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing all the

interested parties and pass final order within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter. All the contentions in respect of the parties are left open.

4. The writ petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
