This Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. Praying this court, to direct the learned Additional District and Sessions Judge, (Special Court for scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, Sivagangai district to accept the surrender of the petitioners and consider the petitioners bail application and grant bail on the same date of surrender itself in Crime No.22 of 2020, dated 09/03/2020 on the file of the Second Respondent Police.
ORDER:- This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is coming on for hearing on this day and upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.C.Mayilvahana Rajendran, Advocate for the Petitioner and of Mr.V.Neelakandan, Additional Public Prosecutor, for the respondents, this Court made the following order:
This petition is filed to extend the time granted in Crl.O.P. (MD)No.5498 of 2020, dated 29.05.2020.
2.Heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.
3.This Court has already granted eight weeks time to the petitioners to surrender before the jurisdictional Special Court. Now they request further time to surrender before the Jurisdictional Special Court.
4.Considering the current situation, the time for surrender before the jurisdictional Special Court already granted is extended by two weeks from today. The petitioner is permitted to execute common sureties before the Court below. This petition is ordered accordingly.
