PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 2 and 3 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.04.2023 and further direct the respondents 2 and 3 to give police protection to celebrate the Pongal festival in Arulmigu Shri Bathrakaliamman Temple at Vembur from 16.05.2023 to 20.05.2023.

2. The petitioner wants this Court to direct the Authorities to grant him permission to conduct the petition mentioned event.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents points out that there are at least three groups in the village and that a peace committee meeting is scheduled to be held on 12.05.2023.
4. The parties will abide by the outcome of the said peace committee meeting and no direction can be issued in this writ petition.
