O R D E R

This Writ petition has been filed by the petitioner for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 21.03.2017, based on the guidelines issued by the second respondent in Memo No.114124/G11/G111/2001-2, dated 03.01.2002, within the time stipulated by this Court and consequently, post the petitioner as Administrative Supervisor, as per his panel seniority in Virudhunagar Electricity Distribution Circle. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.

3. Mr.G.Kasinathadurai, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the Writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

4. Having regard to the limited scope of the prayer in the Writ petition, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's case, this Court is inclined to issue the following direction:- "The second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 21.03.2017, and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law, in terms of guidelines issued by the second respondent in Memo No.114124/G11/G111/2001-2, dated 03.01.2002, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."

5. Accordingly, the Writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous petition is closed.
