O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the respondents to grant permission for conducting the Temple Festival, namely, Sri Pandiyaraja Temple, situated at Puliyangulam Village, Srivaigundam Taluk, Thoothukudi District to be held from 05.05.2025 to 12.05.2025 and to provide police production by considering the petitioner's representation dated 22.04.2025.

2. According to the petitioner, he is the secretary of the Arulmigu Pandiyaraja Temple Administrative Committee and now the villagers have decided to conduct Temple Festival of Sri Pandiyaraja Temple from Page No. 2 of 6

05.05.2025 to 12.05.2025. Therefore, he sent a representation dated 22.04.2025 for grant of permission and police protection, but the same has not been considered. Hence this petition.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that they received the representation of the petitioner and already the same was considered and forwarded to the Tahsildar, Srivaigundam Taluk for conduct of Peace Committee Meeting.

4. Mr.M.Senthil Ayyanar, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the 4th respondent and he would submit that the representation of the petitioner is pending for conduct of Peace Committee Meeting.

5. Recording the above said submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that the petitioner's representation was already considered and the same was forwarded to the Tahsildar, Srivaigundam Taluk for conduct of Peace Committee Meeting and the same is pending, this Court directs the 4th respondent to conduct Peace Committee Meeting and take appropriate decision in accordance with law within four days Page No. 3 of 6

from the date of this order.

6. Since the 4th respondent is Suo-Motu impleaded in this case as per the order of this Court on 29.04.2025, the Registry is directed to carryout necessary amendment in the cause title.

7. With the above observation and direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of.
