PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 528 of BNSS Act, 2023, to call for the records in FIR in Crime No.03/2026 on the file of the All Women Police Station, Pudukottai District and to quash the same against the petitioners as devoid of merits and pass such further or other orders. ORDER

The present petition has been filed by the Accused Nos.1 to 4 in Crime No.03 of 2026 on the file of the first respondent police seeking to quash the FIR in Crime No.03 of 2026, wherein, the petitioners are alleged to have committed offences punishable under Sections 85 of BNS, 2023 and Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961.

2. According to the learned Government Advocate appearing for the first respondent, a report was submitted before the Judicial Magistrate No.II, Pudukottai, on 09.05.2026, classifying the said case as a mistake of fact. Therefore, no further course of action is contemplated in the said crime number.
