Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first respondent herein to consider the petitioner's appeal petition under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and senior citizens Act, 2007 dated 02.03.2023 is still pending before them against the order passed by the second respondent in Mu.Mu.No.3081/2020c dated 05.07.2022 and also direct the first respondent to conduct enquiry in proper manner and dispose the same as earlier as possible.

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the first and second respondents. Issuance of notice to the respondents 3 to 5 is dispensed with.

2.The petitioner is a Senior Citizen. Aggrieved by the order dated 05.07.2022 passed by the second respondent, the petitioner filed 2/4

an appeal before the first respondent under Section 16 of the Senior Citizens Act, 2007.

3.The First respondent is directed to dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter. The first respondent has to necessarily put all the interested parties on notice before passing final order.
