Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records relating to the impugned order dated 9.6.2017 and issued on 14/6/2017 and to quash the same and consequently to direct the respondent to issue the updated passport to the Petitioner based on the application No.MD1070270960117, dated 24.5.2017 For Petitioner :M/s.Senthil Kumar For Respondents :Mr.K.R.Laxman
ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records relating to the impugned order dated 9.6.2017 and issued on 14/6/2017 and to quash the same and consequently to direct the respondent to issue the updated passport to the Petitioner based on the application No.MD1070270960117, dated 24.5.2017, 2.Mr.K.R.Laxman, learned counsel takes notice for the respondent.
3.By consent of both parties, the main Writ Petition is taken up for disposal, at the admission stage itself. 4.In the impugned order, it is clearly stated that the Petitioner may prefer an appeal against the same to the Appellate Authority, the Chief Passport Officer, CPV Division, Ministry of External Affairs, Patiala House, Tilak Marg, New Delhi. Therefore I do not find any reason to entertain this Writ Petition. It is open https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
to the Petitioner to challenge the impugned order by preferring a statutory appeal, which is provided for.
5.In view of the above, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
