Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to issue patta in favour of the petitioner for the land in Survey No.231/8 as represented by the petitioner in his representation dated 04.06.2015.

2. The petitioner seeks a writ of Mandamus to dispose of his representation dated 04.06.2015 and he sought issuance of patta for the land in S.No.231/8 of Punaveli Village, Rajapalayam Taluk, Virudhunagar District. The petitioner claims to have purchased the said property even in the year 1991 and he made several representations to the authorities seeking patta.

3. Considering the limited relief sought for and the facts narrated above, without going into the merits, there will be a direction to the fourth respondent to consider the claim of the petitioner for patta and pass appropriate orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The fourth respondent shall also issue notice to any other person who is shown to be interested or whose name appears in the revenue records and hear them before passing any order.

5. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of as above. No costs.
