O R D E R

The writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to peruse the revenue records of the petitioner side, rectify the issue and upload the corrected version in the Government website of Registration department and in the Guideline value books of Sub-Registrar Office, Othakadai with regard to S.No.148/10 and S.No.148/11 of Narasingam IV Bit Village, Madurai East Taluk, Madurai District on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 16.09.2020.

2.It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner purchased the property in S.No.145/2B1 and the same has been registered vide sale deed Nos.2598 and 2599 dated 27.06.2005. While so, the revenue officials subdivided the property and issued patta in the year 2006. Thereafter, now, when the petitioner uploaded the property details in the web site of the Registrar Office for effecting sale of the property, he found that the guideline value, for the said house site property is mentioned as '0' and it has been wrongly assigned as Government lands. It is the further case of the petitioner that unless and until, the 1/3

guideline value is changed, he will not be in a position to effect any sale of his property. Therefore, the petitioner sent a representation to the respondent on 16.09.2020 along with a copy of 'A' Register and Encumbrance Register to rectify the same. Since the said representation has not been considered so far, the petitioner is before this Court for the aforesaid relief.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, it is represented by the learned Government Advocate for the respondent that the revenue records show guideline value of the property as "0", which means, either the property should be poramboke land or belong to Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment Department or any other Government Department. The petitioner has produced certain records and the Sub Registrar has been asked to verify and report the same. If there is any error and the documents produced by the petitioner are genuine, the District Registrar is empowered to make necessary corrections in the records. The request of the petitioner is under consideration. If six weeks time is granted, the respondent will take a decision and communicate the same to the petitioner.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has no objection for the respondent verifying the site in person and also other records produced by him, so that the mistakes occurred can be rectified by the respondent.

5. In view of the same, two months time is granted for the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 16.09.2020 and mutate the records, if any error has crept in.

6. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
