Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to dispose of the Insurance claim submitted by the petitioner society dated 08.11.2017 for the loss occurred in the petitioner society due to fire accident on 08.11.2017 and to disburse the insurance claim amount of Rs.28,37,652/- along with suitable interests at the rate of 10% per annum, within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.The writ petitioner is a registered Co-operative Society. Their go-down is said to have caught fire in the fire accident. The petitioner made an insurance claim. The accident had taken place as https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD) No.13672 of 2020 early as on 08.11.2017. The claim was also submitted immediately. But till date, the claim is yet to be settled. Therefore, this Writ Petition came to be filed.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the respondents states that the petition mentioned claim will be processed expeditiously and decision will be taken on the petitioner's entitlement, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.Recording the said statement of the learned counsel appearing for the respondents, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
