O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] The petitioner gave a representation, dated 20.06.2022 to the respondents seeking permission to give necessary police protection to conduct Manju Virattu on 03.07.2022 at Sri Kannudaya Ayyanar Sri Kuruthudaya Ayyanar Kovil, Pudunilaipatti, Pudhunilaivayal Panchayat, Thirumayam Taluk, Pudukottai District and thereafter filed the present Public Interest Litigation.

2. In the opinion of this Court, there is no public duty cast upon the respondents to consider the representation, dated 20.06.2022 for the issuance of a Mandamus by this Court. That a part, conduct of Manju Virattu and other activities fall within the domain of law and order and it is for the respondents to decide the matter in accordance with law.

3. In such view of the matter, we find no merit in this writ petition.

4. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
