ORDER

The petitioner, who is A1 in Cr.No.8 of 2024 pending on the file of the first respondent Police, has filed the present petition to quash the said proceedings.

2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent Police submits that the investigation in Cr.No.8 of 2024 has already been completed and final report has also been filed before the Special Court for POCSO Act cases, Madurai and the same is also taken on file in Spl.S.C.No.126 of 2025.

3.According to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, he has moved this petition on 23.04.2025 and the final report is filed in a hurried manner, only in order to defeat this petition. 4.This Court has considered the submissions made on either side. 2/4

5.The petitioner has filed this petition only to quash FIR in Cr. No.8 of 2024, which has been registered for the offences under Sections 11(1) and 11(4) r/w 12 POCSO. It is now reported that final report has been filed and taken on file in Spl.S.C.No.126 of 2025 by the Special Court for POCSO Act cases, Madurai. Without any materials placed before this Court, which are filed along with final report, this Court is not inclined to entertain this petition. It is always open to the petitioner to challenge the final report, in the manner known to law. Accordingly, this criminal original petition is closed.
