..Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to grant Old Age Pension to the petitioner by every month with arrears too, under Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme(IGNOAPS) to the petitioner within the time stipulated by this Court, on the basis of the similar order passed by this Court in W.A.(MD) No.1420 of 2014 dated 04.06.2015.

ORDER

The prayer sought for in this Writ Petition is for issuance of writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant Old Age Pension to the petitioner every month with arrears under Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme(IGNOAPS). 2.Heard, Mr.R.Udhayakumar, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.C.Selvaraj, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and also perused all the records. By consent, the Writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 3.The case of the petitioner is that she is a senior citizen aged about 75 years. The petitioner's three sons are working as

collies and earning very low income. The petitioner's husband separated from her 10 years ago and she is not physically fit to work and earn for her livelihood. Therefore in the year 2002 her name was also included in Below Poverty line. 4.The petitioner would further state that she was receiving Rs.1000/- per month as old age pension till January 2013. Thereafter, all of a sudden without any notice the pension amount was stopped. The petitioner would claim that periodically she was making representation before the respondents for payment of pension. Since it was not considered, she sent a representation dated 06.06.2017. Despite to the same no order was passed. Hence, this present Writ Petition is filed.

Though the larger relief sought for in the Writ petition, this Court without going into the merits, directs the first respondent to consider the representation dated 06.06.2017 on merits in accordance with law and pass orders as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above observation this writ petition is disposed of. No Costs.
