*********** [Order of the Court was made by R.HEMALATHA, J.] It is the case of the petitioner that his daughter Karthigaiselvi aged about 19 years went missing from 11.06.2022 and that the police are not taking effective steps to secure her. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present Habeas Corpus Petition with the above prayer.

2.Heard Mr.C.Jeyaprakash, learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.T.Senthil Kumar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 & 2. 3.Today, Mr.A.Sebasthi [Mobile No.9442043763] Special Sub-Inspector of Police, Kalaiyarkovil, Sivagangai District, is present before this Court.

4.On instructions, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on the complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Kalaiyarkovil Police Station, Sivagangai in Crime No.171 of 2022 has been registered on 14.06.2022 under Section 366 I.P.C. and during the course of investigation, it came to light that Karthigaiselvi was in love with one Dharman [third respondent herein], and they got married on 11.06.2022. In view of the above, further action has been dropped in Crime No.171 of 2022 on 18.06.2022.

5.A copy of the photographs of Karthigaiselvi with Dharman and the further action dropped report is furnished to the learned Counsel for the petitioner across the Bar. Since, Karthigaiselvi is not in the illegal custody of the respondents, we find no merit in this Habeas Corpus Petition. 6.Accordingly, this Habeas Corpus Petition is closed.
