.. Respondents Prayer: This Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to provide relief under the Chief Minister Relief Fund to the petitioner by considering the petitioner's representation dated 08.02.2017.

O R D E R

The prayer in this writ petition is for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to provide relief under the Chief Minister Relief Fund to the petitioner by considering the petitioner's representation dated 08.02.2017. 2.The petitioner would state that on 17.03.2016 when his son viz., Manivel was returning from weekly market in a two wheeler, he met with an accident and died on the spot. The petitioner would further state that based on his complaint, a case was registered in Crime No.106 of 2016 for offence under Sections 279, 337 and 304(A) of I.P.C., by the Inspector of Police, Appanthirupathi https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Police Station, Madurai District. In the above circumstances, he applied for relief under the Chief Minister Relief Fund and in this regard, he sent a representation dated 08.02.2017 through registered post. However, there is no response so far. Hence, this writ petition is filed.

3.Heard Mr.S.M.A.Jinnah, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.A.Muthukaruppan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the Special Sub-Collector, Madurai has forwarded the representation of the petitioner to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Melur for taking necessary action and therefore, direction may be given to the third respondent. 5.In view of the above said submissions, this Court directs the third respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 08.02.2017 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
