ORDER

By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

2. This Writ Petition is filed for Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to provide new electricity service connection to the petitioner's house bearing Door No.2, Kinathadi Kaliamman Kovil Street, Amman Sannathi, Karaikudi, Sivagangai District based on the representation dated 17.04.2023.

3. The contention of the petitioner is that the said property is an ancestral property. After demise of the grandfather, his legal heirs i.e., petitioner, his mother and uncle had partitioned the house. Hence, the petitioner is seeking electricity connection for his portion of the house. 2/4

4. However, the contention of the respondents is that the petitioner has not submitted any application in the appropriate form through online. Moreover, he is not in possession of any documents including the revenue documents.

5. Therefore, this Court is directing the petitioner to submit all required documents and also directed to submit an appropriate application through online. On receipt of such application, the respondents shall consider in accordance to law and grant electricity connection, if it is otherwise in order.
