PRAYER : Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to provide electricity connection in petitioner's dwelling house in survey No.428/23 in Door No.2/1A, Jamaliya Street, Valluthoor Village, Papanasam Taluk, Thanjavur District by considering petitioner's brother representation, dated 22.11.2016 within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

This Writ petition has been filed, for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to provide electricity connection in petitioner's dwelling house in survey No.428/23 in Door No.2/1A, Jamaliya Street, Valluthoor Village, Papanasam Taluk, Thanjavur District by considering petitioner's brother'S representation, dated 22.11.2016 within the time stipulated by this Court.

2.Though the Writ Petition is filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to give positive direction to the respondent, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner would be satisfied, if a direction is issued to the respondent to consider the representation dated 22.11.2016 and pass appropriate order within the time stipulated by this Court. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3.Having regard to the limited scope of the prayer that is now sought before this Court by the learned counsel for the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's case, this Court is inclined to pass the following direction:

3.a. The respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's brother's representation dated 22.11.2016 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
