PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to take necessary action on the petitioner complaint dated 28.05.2022 for recovery of the petitioner car bearing Registration No. TN 81 X 2900 standing in the petitioner husband's name and hand over the same to the petitioner within the time stipulated by this Court. This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to take necessary action on the petitioner complaint, dated 28.05.2022 for recovery of the petitioner car bearing Registration No. TN 81 X 2900 standing in the petitioner husband's name and hand over the same to the petitioner within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner's daughter married one Babu during the year 2016. The petitioner and her husband for their own use have purchased in ETHIGA CAR through some finance company bearing Registration No. TN 81 X 2900. Her husband died on 24.10.2017, after the death of her husband the said babu came to her house and requested to give the car to him, for using the same for some time and promised to return it to her, but till date, he has not returned the said car and abusing the petitioner with filthy language and threatened her with dire consequences. Hence, the petitioner gave a complaint before the second respondent police on 28.05.2022. The respondent police has not taken any action. 2/5

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that the respondent police is ready to consider the petitioner's representation.

4. Recording the same, the second respondent is directed to take appropriate legal action in this matter by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 28.05.2022, and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
