O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to file final report in Crime No.1 of 2021 on the file of the respondent police within stipulated time fixed by this Court.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner is the defacto complainant in the abovesaid case and the case was registered on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner for the offences under Sections 294(b), 354, 452, 506(i) IPC and Section 4 of Tamilnadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act. The grievance of the petitioner is that even after laps of nearly 7 years, investigation has not been completed and hence this petition.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that mobile phone of the accused has been seized and has been sent to the Forensic Laboratory for the purpose of getting expert's opinion and 7 witnesses have been examined. 4. Recording the undertaking given by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, there shall be a direction that after obtaining expert's opinion the respondent shall complete the investigation and file final report within a period of 3 months from the date of receiving the expert's opinion. After filing final report before the concerned court, compliance report shall be sent to the Registry.

5. With the above direction, this petition is disposed of.
