: Respondents PRAYER:Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to stop the illegal mining operation done by the non farmers in Kadambakulam which is situated at Thenthiruperai Town Panchayat, Tiruchendur Taluk, Thoothukudi District and consequently direct the respondents to initiate criminal action against the illegal mining operated non farmers based on petitioner's representation dated 01.06.2017 within the time limit stipulated by this Court.

O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by K.K.SASIDHARAN, J.] The petitioner filed this Writ Petition to direct the respondents to initiate criminal action against those who are indulged in illegal mining in Kadambakulam Village, Thenthiruperai Town Panchayat, Tiruchendur Taluk, Thoothukudi District.

2. We direct the District Collector, Thoothukudi District, to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 01 June, 2017 on merits and as per law. Such exercise shall be completed, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is needless to mention that the petitioner should be given an opportunity of hearing before passing the order by the District Collector.

3. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
